The word homeopathy is derived from the Greek “homeo” = Similar to and “pathos” = disease. It is based on the law of similarity "like cures like". It means that a patient suffering from symptoms can be treated and cured by doses of a substance (mineral, animal or plant) capable of producing similar symptoms in a healthy person - and has been clinically used for over 200 years.
